Lovely little Pub right at the end of Bainskloof Pass. They serve a normal, no frills pub grill menu (steak, burgers/ pizzas) at very affordable prices. The food was good. We had steak and a burger. Both were done as requested and nice. They only serve with chips, no other side options. The venue has plenty of outside seating. We elected to sit there as it was sunny and nice out. There is a deck as well as an roofed outside area, with a little pool and a play area for kids. Then there is a bar area which I did not enter, but my parter reported it to be "nice". The highlight for me however, was the view from the deck of the surrounding mountains. It's truly a sight to behold and since it is affordable, family friendly and pet friendly, there is no reason not to stop there the next time you're in the area. I would recommend going on a sunny day as I can imagine it getting freezing out there when it rains.

Hidden gem with some fantastic foods The Burgers and Pizza's were great but their service is what I will say was the best part. Friendly and Fun Staff all round and situated in such a beautiful environment, will definitely be a frequent visitor. Lots of Love and Respect From the Crusaders MC

The location of this place is really awesome. Food is good. Had the steak. They have some local beers as well. Outdoor seating with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Accessible via R43 or the beautiful Bain's Kloof pass

Damian, the waiter, really went above and beyond. So friendly, level headed in handling almost 20 orders at once, memorizing our names and running around like paparazzi to take our group photos. The food was delicious and affordable and the view was breathtaking! Will definitely be back again!

Awesome vibe and stunning setting! Had the best waiter, very friendly. My puppy loved the dogs around, a very relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

The food is great, value for money. The place is rustic and has spectacular views of the mountains. On a cold day they make some fires in the semi-outdoor areas. There is a splash pool if youre inclined in summer. Probably better when the weather is good. Service little slow some times but the food and the scenery makes up for it. The best trip from cape town over bains kloof pass to the pub and then back over du toits kloof. Lekker breakfast or lunch run.

This place is an absolute gem! Tucked away at the start of Bains Kloof, this charming pub is a must-visit. The outdoor seating offers plenty of space and stunning views of the surrounding valley and mountains—a perfect setting to soak up the scenery. We were welcomed by a fantastic, lively waiter who made us feel right at home and offered great recommendations. If you go, do yourself a favor and try the ribs—they’re fall-off-the-bone delicious!
